Short biography
Dylan is a freelance performer and theatre-maker based in Glasgow, Scotland.
His recent projects include work with the Royal Lyceum, Bristol Old Vic, Royal Shakespeare Company, Oceanallover, Blood of the Young, Les Compagnons Butineurs, The Krumple, Inês Campos, Al Seed, Ludens Ensemble, Tatraum Projekte, Scottish Dance Theatre, National Trust for Scotland and the National Theatre of Scotland.
Dylan is a founding member of Théâtre Senza, with whom he devised and toured collaborative theatre-anthropology shows Dragons and Miraculi: Stories from Lampedusa; he has also worked as movement director for professional vocal ensemble Le Miroir; co-artistic director of international ensemble The Spleen; and as devising performer of Buff and Sheen with Moonslide dance company.
More recent solo endeavours have included performance commissions from Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum and the Scottish Folk Archaeology and Relic Trust, as well as poetry readings for The Rimbaud and Verlaine Foundation, Poet in the City and The British Library. In Scotland, he performs in improvised movement and music collaborations with Reconfigure, Collective Endeavours, Curious Seed and Something Smashing.
Dylan also teaches ensemble theatre, and has led workshops for the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (Glasgow), Rose Bruford College (Edinburgh), the Scottish Trades Union Congress (Falkland Palace), Curious School of Puppetry (London), the Festival for European Anglophone Theatre Societies (Brussels), the University of Wisconsin (USA), and the French Institute for Choral Art (Poitiers).
He trained in theatre at the École Jacques Lecoq/Laboratoire d'Études de Mouvement, and subsequently with Philippe Gaulier, Kristin Linklater, A de Castro, Katie Duck and Moeno Wakamatsu. In his spare time he plays in D.I.Y. music/noise collectives Natural Powder and AIMS (Autonomous Improvised Music Society).
